Fair Game:
Scientology's denial of their Fair Game policy

---

Scientology's Fair Game

The notorious Scientology company likes to demand that their "Fair Game" policy was not only canceled but that it applies only to Scientology customers -- not Judges, Coroners, media, police, lawyers, human rights activists, free speech activists et al. as the court record clearly and unambiguously shows. The actual documentation which proved "Fair Game" is a Scientology policy was seized in the series of Federal raids against the enterprise in the mid 1970's [1] and ever since then the company has been trying to lie their way out of one of their more embarrassing exposures.

On the company's own website one can find the enterprise attempting to distance themselves from this embarrassing policy of theirs:

http://www.scientology.org/en_US/news-media/faq/pg058.html

In this piece -- a web page called 'What does the term "fair game" refer to?' one can find 29 rather outrageous lies. U. S Title 17 Chapter 1, Section 107 allows for the Fair Use usage of otherwise copyrighted materials [2] so it is under the dictates of Fair Use that I provide extract and commentary on the company's attempt to lie about their own "Fair Game" policy:

Scientology says:

"Fair game" is a term which is often intentionally misinterpreted and used by apostate Scientologists and other critics to unfairly tarnish the Church.

4 lies. "Fair Game" refers to a once-secret in-house Scientology policy [3] written by the company's leader L. Ron Hubbard. It's a term everyone inside of and outside of Scientology will recognize as meaning: one may target an individual for abuse or punishment because one believes that the individual deserves it.

Nobody "misinterprets" what the term "Fair Game" means. Scientology attempts to redefine the term now that their once-secret written policy is public knowledge, but their attempts are only successful inside of their company, not out in the real world, and not in court as they attempt to explain their racketeering activities in front of Judges or the media.

In Stephen King's The Running Man, Ben Richards wakes up and realizes that his last free day is upon him. "He felt a hot drop of fear in his stomach. In twenty-three hours he would be fair game. In Stephen King's book, the Running Man is hunted by professional killers, assisted by the general population which helps to capture and kill the Running Man. Nobody "misinterprets" what the term "Fair Game" means. L. Ron Hubbard and all of Scientology use the term to mean exactly what everyone knows and unstands it to mean.

Even the Bush Administration used the expression in September of 2003 in exactly the same way that Scientology uses the expression.

Insofar as "apostate Scientologists and other critics," there's another attempt to redefine words. Ex-customerss can't be "apostates:"

Apostate:

A disloyal person who betrays or deserts his cause or religion or political party or friend etc.

Not faithful to religion or party or cause

Scientology is an organized crime syndicate, not a cause, religion, political party, or friend. Scientology has customers.

Scientology says:

"Fair Game" was canceled in 1968, more than 30 years ago, expressly because it was susceptible to misinterpretation and misuse.

2 more lies. On October 21'st of 1968, L. Ron Hubbard ordered his followers to stop using the term "Fair Game" but ordered them to continue to apply the policy. [4] The application of the term out in public was discontinued however Hubbard is clearly ordering his followers to continue to Fair Game his perceived enemies.

At the same time Scientology continues to claim that their written policy can be "misinterpreted and misused." In fact as can be seen in Hubbard's second order, the reason why the company stopped using the term in public was -- in Hubbard's own words -- because "It causes bad public relations." Nobody "misinterprets" or "misuses" the company's name for the policy.

Scientology says:

The term meant that apostate members could not seek protection or refuge under the Church's internal ethics or justice codes.

2 more lies, the first one -- claiming they have "apostates" and that only customers are subjected to Fair Game -- is one they already tried. The second one is the lie about how Fair Game is some how part of the criminal organization's system of punishment for "wrong thinking." It's not.

In Scientology, what's ethical is anything that makes money for company. "Out ethics" is anything that keeps money from coming in or costs the company's leaders money. Scientology likes to demand they're "the most ethical people on the planet" however they don't mention the fact that they've redefined the word "ethical" to mean "anything that makes money." (The "Primary Governing Policy" of Scientology is, according to L. Ron Hubbard, to "Make money. Make more money. Assist others so as to make more money."

Scientologists who question the validity of L. Ron Hubbard's quack notions, or Scientologists who are what they call "downstat" for not giving Scientology money or suckering enough "raw meat," as they call it, into the scam can be labeled what Scientology calls "out ethics."

Scientology's "internal ethics or justice" can also include a trip to their notorious prison system which they call their "Project Rehabilitation Force" or "RPF" for short. [5]

The "Fair Game" policy has nothing to do with the punishment of "out ethics" followers. As is clearly described in the company's own once-secret documents, the policy applies to Scientology's perceived enemies -- which includes judges, lawyers, doctors, newspaper reporters, or anyone else who opposes or reports Scientology's criminal or abusive activities.

Scientology says:

It had been intentionally and grossly misinterpreted by apostates, when all it meant was that those expelled from the Church could no longer take advantage of the internal ecclesiastical support and justice procedures churches of Scientology provide to resolve disputes and upsets among parishioners. They would have to make their own way, unaided, with the justice procedures of the society as their only recourse.

7 more lies, most repeats.

What's informative is that Scientology's criminals are so very often hidden from real law enforcement agencies. After real cops hand down indictments the criminal enterprise will make a public relations show of pretending to throw the caught criminal out [6] however in many cases we find that indicted criminals and unindicted co-conspirators alike continue to run the criminal enterprise. [7]

The notion that one can create one's own fictitious system of justice and laws and ignore the rules and regulations of the real world is a notion created by a delusional mad man: L. Ron Hubbard.

Scientology says:

This concept is as old as religion itself. Many faiths reserve the right to expel or excommunicate members who refuse to abide by the moral and ecclesiastical codes of the group.

3 more lies. Scientology is trying to claim they're a religion and since others can engage in criminal and abusive activities, they should be allowed to.

Since Scientology's "Fair Game" policy has nothing to do with throwing customers out, and has nothing to do with any perceived violation of the company's rules, we get three more lies to add to the growing pile.

Scientology says:

The term does not appear in the scriptures of Scientology and has not existed since 1968. In fact, its only use since then is not by the Church at all, but by a handful of anti-Scientology apostates and their attorneys who have exploited it in efforts to generate anti-Scientology prejudice in the media or courtroom.

6 more lies, some repeats.

The only significant new lie here is the claim that anyone who exposes Scientology's "Fair Game" policy are some how &quoyt;anti-Scientology." I'm not; I have been advocating Scientology "technology" for years inasmuch as such technology doesn't harm anyone. [8] What activists, Judges, lawyers, police et al. oppose is Scientology's activities which are criminal or abusive; few bother to oppose Scientology itself -- except when it kills or maims people such as their Narconon quack medical fraud so often does.

One major aspect of Scientology that bears particular attention is Scientology's "Lisa Clause" wherein Scientology makes followers sign over their rights -- including, if need be, their right to live. It is a signed "contract" which Scientology created as a result of the criminal and civil court trials resulting from Scientology's murder of Lisa Mcpherson.

Scientology says:

The truth is that Church management never has and never would tolerate illegal or unethical actions to be committed in the Church's name.

4 more lies. Scientology isn't in any sense of the word a "Church." Aside from that, the court record available all over the Internet most certainly appears to show undeniably that Scientology's ringleaders order criminal activities to be conducted as a routine matter of day-to-day business. It is a fact so highly documented that the Lisa McPherson civil trial sought to add the head ringleader David Miscaviage to the list of specific defendants. Proving it in court has become harder and harder over the years given the advent of technologies which make tapping and decrypting communications difficult however Federal agents were successfully able to prove that Mary Sue Hubbard -- one of L. Ron Hubbard's wives -- was pulling the strings for the criminal enterprise during Scientology's "Operation Snow White" domestic espionage crimes.

Scientology says:

The scriptures of Scientology are replete with admonitions to its adherents to build their lives on foundations of honesty and integrity. The commission of dishonesties or harmful acts against another is the road to personal misery and destruction of positive interpersonal relationships.

1 more lie and some denials of their own criminal history. The company doesn't have anything that could be considered to be "scriptures." What they have are internal policies which direct criminal and abusive activities which have become public thanks a large part to the Internet; among the most notable being "Fair Game."

Scientology continues to create texts which seek to cover up the massive exposures of its core criminality; public relations efforts which seek to deny their own history and their own continueing criminal and abusive activities. This web site, in fact, is dedicated toward enumerating such activities that relate to the Fair Gaming of the company's perceived enemies. other websites take more detailed looks into the company's other crimes and abuses.

[1] Part of the "Operation Snow White" domestic espionage crimes Scientology was indicted for and continues to engage in.

[2] U. S. Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 107 allows for the non-commercial replication of otherwise copyrighted materials for news and commentary in the public interest. Exposing the core criminality of the Scientology crime syndicate meets all prongs of the Fair Use doctrine.

[4] HCO Policy Letter of 21 October 1968

[5] Project Rehabilitation Force. BrainWash for a detailed examination into Scientology's prison system, or RPF DOC for a Microsoft WORD version of the same document.

[6] Reed Slatkin. And one of the more notorious financial swindles for examine would be Raul Lopez.

[7] For example Heber Jentzsch who fled Spain and still runs things. Also Ken Moxon who was one of the unindicted co-conspirators in Scientology's "Operation Snow White" which appears to continue unabaited today.

[8] The Free Zone exists which advocates and disseminates Scientology technology. One may practice Scientology without being a customer of the Scientology crime syndicate.
