Dear Frank,

If you recall, on September 8, 2000, the Cape Cod Times printed a letter from you that stated the I (Tom Padgett) was a "criminal" and a "deadbeat dad." In that same letter you claimed that your employer had eight million (8,000,000) members and that the "church" opposes criminal behavior and activities.

As you are aware, on March 8, 2002, the Kentucky Court of Appeals overturned this conviction noting several errors of the trial court. And that in subsequent litigation the courts found that I was "overpaid" in child support to the tune of approx. $16,000, and that on October 22, 2002, the 4 1/2 year litigation of felony charges against me were dropped.

I would like to know what you intend to do to correct and retract your misrepresentations with that newspaper. I am certain as a member of a sect who's leader claims is the "most ethical group on the planet," you will want to re-address these issues to reflect complete accuracy.

Additionally, I extend yet another invitation to you have a healthy open discussion with me on local and/or regional network or cable TV re: our respective views on criminal conduct, religion, mental health, the church's position on family and children, and how the figure of 8 million is arrived at in terms of membership. I am hoping you will see this as an opportunity to clear the air, and put your employer in a much better light with the public, than in the past.
