There have been many attacks recently on Tom Padgett. Some of the
attacks have been from Scientology. Some have been from critics of
Scientology . Attacking seems to be the name of the game right now on
a.r.s.
Some of the recent attacks center around Tom saying that his former
wife, Laura Vanoy Padgett, is still in Scientology even though it had
been stated in court several years back that she no longer was and had
converted to Catholicism.
A little more than a year ago, Laura stated in a deposition that
indeed she was a Scientologist. This excerpt from that deposition
shows that declaration.

Tom has contended that Scientology's practices, including
disconnection, Fair Game and declaring former members to be
Suppressive Persons, have played a part in his family members' lives
since Tom left Scientology.
