Dear Abuse:

Our office represents the Church of Scientology International ("CSI"), the owner of the copyrights to certain photographs taken for CSI publications.

We have been informed that one of your customer, Caroline Letkeman, using her Telus.net account, has made a number of outrageous Internet postings which are in direct violation of Telus Net's Acceptable Use Policy. Specifically, she has posted several copyrighted photographs belonging to our client, CSI, and then placed a picture of Osama Bin Laden in four of them with the caption "Where's Osama?". The headers to each of these postings is attached below.

Clearly your subscriber is using her Telus account in this manner to foment and communicate hatred and create mischief in relation to data, not to mention engaging in copyright infringement, activities which, by Telus' own Use Policy constitutes criminal and civil offenses. Ms. Letkeman's actions are especially disturbing in light of the current international events.

As you see, Telus directs whichever of your agents "signed" this complaint for you, to deal directly with me. According to Telus, I am your only terminal, and the only terminal for the lawyer or lawyers you used to carry out this baseless attack. Since I have not been contacted by your lawyers who "signed" your complaint to Telus, and because you are responsible, I am writing to you directly. I believe I can force Telus to tell me who "signed" your complaint, but you know who they are and can tell me without being forced to.

Since your Scientology law firm of Moxon and Kobrin are the people you very likely are using to carry out this attack, it being just as baseless and just as vicious a fair game attack as the earlier and continuing criminal efforts you have had that firm's lawyers make to suppress my web site http://www.entheta.ca/caroline, I am also copying them with this letter. But, as everyone knows, you use all sorts of layers and law firms for your whole copyright terrorism campaign, so I can't be sure that Moxon and Kobrin is being used by you here. In any event, I'm your only terminal.

Your claim that I made a number of outrageous Internet postings which are in direct violation of Telus Net's Acceptable Use Policy is a nasty, bald faced lie. It is nasty Scientology black propaganda, intended to covertly harm my reputation with my ISP, and criminally silence my voice against your cult's criminality and human rights abuses.

I therefore demand that you immediately contact Telus, with a copy to me, stating that you acknowledge that your black PRing of me was baseless and that you apologize to Telus for attempting to black PR me to them. What you are doing is repugnant, suppressive and criminally threatening.

In your complaint to Telus, as is typical of the way you have Scientologists operate in your fair game attacks, you have omitted any mention of the all important fact that each and every one of the creations about which you complain is a parody, completely permitted, indeed encouraged by copyright law. Each of the subject creative works, as you know, is jointly created, owned and copyrighted by me with Gerry Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong, as you also know is, like me, an undeniable target of your fair game activities.

You omit any reference whatsoever to the undeniable truth that the subject creative works by Mr. Armstrong and myself are fair use expressions, permitted and encouraged by copyright law. You omit any reference to the truth that Mr. Armstrong and I have a fair use privilege to post these creative works to the Internet, just so you have an excuse to use the law to harass us. Using the law, Mr. Miscavige, to harass, as you use it, is a criminal act.

You also omitted to mention that you and your cult are so eminently parodiable. You are not the religious leader you want the world to imagine you are. You are a thug, using fair game to get your way, to bully, silence and destroy any wog ®, and certainly any Scientologist, who dares laugh at what a parody of a religious leader you are. Your Scientology cult is perfectly parodiable as a hiding place for Osama bin-Laden, because your central warriors, OSA, is so like Osama's Al-Qaeda, just slicker, with PIs and police in their pockets instead of Kalashnikovs in their carrion luggage. Your cult's basic philosophy, policy and practice of fair game against wogs ® like me, most tellingly wogs ® like me you've ripped off and hurt, is so like the Osama cult's attitude toward and treatment of Americans, and that fact too calls for Tone-40 parody. And of course, everyone was asking at the time, "Where's Osama," so Mr. Armstrong's and my parodies were perfectly timely, not contrived in the least, and with your reaction, now, clearly, divinely inspired.

Mr. Armstrong and I are, among our several professions, parodists. You are a fair gamist. In order to carry out our mandate Mr. Armstrong and I must generate parodies. You would fair game us to take away the way we respond to your fair game. That, my friend, calls out for parody. The more you attempt to suppress parody, the more you necessarily give parodists to parody. Attempts to suppress parody scream out for parodying. I am newly shocked by your actions at how suppressive this Scientology cult is which ripped me off for 24 years of my life. And that shock is often diffused with parody. To see you as a joke is good for one's spirits. Neither Mr. Armstrong nor I of course see your fair game regime as a joke, nor your fair gaming us, or anyone else as a joke. We know you and your thugs are devoid of reason, and very dangerous.

Since Mr. Armstrong's and my public reads alt.religion.scientology and views our parodies on alt.binaries.scientology, it is perfectly clear that our parodies must parody your Scientology cult, and inevitably parody you as your own cult's dictator. Both you and your cult are public figures, and both of you, and indeed all Scientologists, call out for parodying. And since it is Scientology and Scientologists being parodied, proper parody, that is, parody which is undeniably effective, practically necessarily involves Scientology's copyrighted materials. The "Where's Osama?" parodies are very funny. They're in part very funny, frightfully, because you practice fair game, and because, of course, while running all the fair game, you're such a windbag.

In my particular case, I have an elevated need and justification for the fair use parody privilege because of your continuing, meritless, criminal refusal to refund the $61,5000 your organization ripped off from me over 27 years. Parody is a permissible and particularly effective response for people like me to rip offs or abuse or illegalities by corporate rackets like you're running with Scientology. By your baseless copyright fair game attack here you're trying to take away my voice so no one can hear how you ripped me off and how your refuse, in violation of your own policies and the basic Scientology promise, to even acknowledge my demand. Such giant cowardice cannot hide from its own parody.

I also have, as you know, an elevated need and justification for fair use parody power because of your actions in causing my dear daughter Ann to disconnect from me. Your disconnection doctrine is based on the ravings of the judicially declared paranoid and schizophrenic L. Ron Hubbard, and is so insane and destructive, so violative of all reason, that it makes Scientology shriek for parody. What is a loving mother to do when face to face with such psychic violence and cruelty as your disconnection doctrine? Well, parody your violent, cruel practitioners, of course.

You've had your lawyers, whoever they are, sign a complaint falsely charging that Mr. Armstrong's and my fair use parody "Where's Osama" series is for the purposes of fomenting and communicating hatred and creation mischief "in relation to data." This charge sounds a bit like the ravings of L. Ron Hubbard, your predecessor criminal cult leader, whom Mr. Armstrong and I also parodied in "Where's Osama." But, certainly you approved the language no matter whose ravings they are. These charges are baseless and function as black propaganda. Mr. Armstrong and I demand that you communicate to Telus that you acknowledge that the purposes of our "Where's Osama" parodies are legal, legitimate and a logical response to Scientology fair game.

The statement by your Scientology lawyers that Mr. Armstrong's and my actions in creating and posting our "Where's Osama?" parody are "especially disturbing in light of the current international events," is, of course, a black PR reference to the September 11, 2001 events and the subsequent "War on Terrorism." This is a particularly dishonest piece of black PR from you because of your own use of the tragic 9/11 events on your own Internet hate site, http://www.religiousfreedomwatch.org/extremists/index.html, to attack your fair game targets, including Mr. Armstrong, and several of my professional associates. Whereas Mr. Armstrong and I are clearly joking about Osama's involvement as a member and celebrity in your Scientology cult, you and your OSA staff running your hate site are completely serious, indeed diabolical, in your campaign to associate the opponents of your fair game doctrine with 9/11. Whereas Mr. Armstrong and I use parody, you use fair game. Your hate site "linking" opponents of your cult's criminal fair game doctrine, all of them wogs ®, to 9/11 is despicable beyond belief.

Mr. Armstrong and I demand that you immediately correct the black PR you have generated about us at Telus, and that you immediately apologize for your and your cult's efforts to persecute us on the basis of the false charges you've made.
