Tom Padgett news.

The kids weren't on the plane. Feels like a set-up. R.I. airport is easier to deal with so it makes sense. I just returned from from Tom's hearing which was not a hearing.

Here's the deal: Tom was arrested on a warrant issued in Kentucky on June 17th for "flagrant non-paying of spousal support", don't know the details of this. He was arrested as a "fugitive from justice".

He will be arraigned on Oct. 3 which will be an extradition arraignment. Tom can okay extradition to Kentucky, I doubt he will, or fight extradition, more likely. In the meantime he will seek bail which may not be so easy because at the time of his arrest he was considered a "fugitive from justice" because he failed to appear in Kentucky for this original non-payment charge.

These are the facts as I know them today. I also have been told that he has no chance in Kentucky because his wife and politics and $cientology are heavy odds on favorites to cause him much grief.

I will keep you posted. In the meantime those of you who are interested: Get the address that is listed on this post for The Providence Journal...it's up in Pippi's post...and send faxes and emails to the attention of this reporter Karen Ziner.

In these communications please give her referral sites to get info on Tom's case over the past ten years. Tigger has them. I do not know much about Tom or his case but I am due back in New York tomorrow, I have a home that's closing sale so I'll be out of the loop after tofsy.

Then, I'll see what I can do from New York. Tom's family is aware of the events and are retaining legal counsel.
